Do you need training? Why Training Matters
We are serious about your safety. Training improves safety, increases productivity, enhances awareness and fulfills your legal obligations.
Our qualified instructors ensure that your staff experience quality training, direct from the platform manufacturer. Training can be taken through our online learning platform or given on site using our latest facilities. Contact our training manager or access our online platform below.
Choose Your Training Format
Versalift offers flexible training formats to match the way your team works. Whether you prefer online modules, on-site instruction, or hands-on service training, each option is designed to build skills, improve safety, and keep your fleet compliant.
Self-Paced Training
Our online training program allows operators to learn directly from content developed from the official Versalift operator manual. Trainees can log in from any device and complete modules at their own speed. Progress is tracked, quizzes are included, and certificates are issued upon completion.
Instructor-Led Training
Led by qualified instructors, this training is ideal for both new and experienced linemen and technicians. Delivered at your location or at our Waco, TX headquarters, the sessions use activity- and scenario-based exercises to reinforce safe operation in real-world conditions.
Service & Maintenance Training
Designed for mechanics and service technicians, this program covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and real-world lessons from the field. Hands-on exercises ensure technicians can identify issues early and keep fleets running at peak performance.
Course Modules
01. Introduction to Aerial Lift Training
This module introduces the basics of aerial lift operation, including key terms, major components, and operator responsibilities. It provides the foundation needed to understand later modules and ensures all participants start with the same core knowledge.
02. Daily Visual Inspection
Operators learn how to complete a proper pre-start inspection using the Versalift checklist. The module covers placards, decals, and common warning signs, helping participants spot potential issues early. Regular inspections prevent downtime and improve both safety and compliance.
03. Operating the Lift
A step-by-step guide to safe and efficient operation. Trainees learn how to set up the truck at the worksite, power the aerial, and use both lower and upper controls. The module also covers start-up and stowing procedures, ensuring equipment is handled correctly from beginning to end of each job.
04. Emergency Procedures
In the event of malfunction or equipment failure, operators must know how to act quickly. This module teaches manual recovery methods, engine start/stop functions, and correct post-incident actions. Interactive exercises help participants practice these skills in a safe environment.
05. Aerial Lift Safety
Focusing on jobsite risks, this module addresses electrical hazards, tip-overs, falls, and other common dangers. Trainees learn strategies to minimize risks and build safe work habits. Knowledge checks and case studies reinforce the importance of applying safety practices consistently.
06. Certificate of Completion
The final step validates proficiency. Participants demonstrate hands-on competence and complete assessments with a required score of at least 80%. Upon completion, operators receive official certification, which provides employers with documented proof of skill and compliance.
Why Invest in Training?
Training isn’t just about compliance—it’s about making your crews safer, more productive, and more cost-efficient. Investing in professional aerial lift training delivers measurable benefits for both your operators and your bottom line.
Increase ROI & Lower Costs
Training helps operators catch small issues early, reduce wear on equipment, and minimize downtime—leading to longer service life and lower repair costs.
Improve Productivity
Skilled operators work faster, safer, and can handle more equipment types. This makes fleets more flexible and keeps projects on schedule.
Ensure OSHA & ANSI Compliance
Professional training keeps teams aligned with industry standards, reducing the risk of fines and liability while proving commitment to safety.
