Time Manufacturing Company is focused on attracting, developing and retaining great people to be part of an engaged and diverse workforce. Jay Jeffrey, President, is a great example of this fact; he has been with the company for more than thirty years. “Time Manufacturing is a great place to work. We have generations that have worked here and are still working here.” Jay notes that, “It’s a family atmosphere, and we do things the right way. It’s a great place to build a career.”
On the job training exists in every department at Time Manufacturing Company. Sales teams, assembly and manufacturing teams and engineering teams continue to develop. According to James Christian, VP Engineering, on the job training for engineers is a process. Newly hired graduates “come from engineering universities and spend their first 3 months actually building aerial lifts – insulation, booms, buckets – learning how units are built.” New engineer hires are then partnered with senior engineers, who have been with the company for more than ten years. Time Manufacturing Company engineering hires start by taking on smaller projects. They progress by working with other groups like service and manufacturing. With time and support, they are designing and developing products for our companies. Mr. Christian notes, “Using state of the art technology, they run mechanical tests on completed prototypes to make sure that we get dual confirmation of our design. Our engineers go out into the field and test their designs themselves to make sure they have the right design and that it works the way it should.”
“The expansion of Time Manufacturing to include brands such as Aspen Aerials, BrandFX and Ruthmann gives us access to incredible resources like the best people in the industry, including a premier group of engineers, and it makes us stronger globally. With Aspen Aerials, our engineering group in the states worked with the engineering group in Denmark to bring Aspen Aerial bridge inspection equipment to Europe.”
– James Christian, VP Engineering, Time Manufacturing Company
