Versalift presents the VST-40-HDSI, a more muscular version of the Versalift VST-40-MHI. The key differentiator is 700 lbs of material handling capacity in any boom position, across the entire working envelope.
This insulated unit features best-in-class payload due to smarter, lightweight aerial lift design. Unprecedented lineman protection at the platform is enabled with our innovative TruGuard® and Electroguard® safety systems, which allow complete dielectric isolation, even when the boom is fully retracted. The VST-40-HDSI has full-pressure hydraulic upper controls, which provide greater levels of responsiveness and control.

The VST-40-HDSI is a familiar safe, durable and reliable bucket truck that our customers know and love, but it has more muscle. With the same high-quality platform, controls and jib, this unit has 700 lbs of material handling capacity across its working envelope, with 1,000 lbs capacity at elevated angles. Linemen and fleet managers can work with confidence within the complete working envelope, without having to continue to check boom angles.

The VST-40-HDSI Has Unparalleled Safety Features
All insulated Versalift articulated telescopic aerial lifts come with our patented TruGuard® Safety System as standard equipment. TruGuard® is engineered to create a safety barrier for complete dielectric isolation at the upper controls. TruGuard® is paired with ElectroGuard® to effectively isolate linemen at the platform, while protecting technicians around the jobsite, while the boom is in any position, including fully stowed.
VST-40-HDSI – ADDITIONAL POWER ON THE RELIABLE VST-40-MHI
The VST-40-HDSI is a more muscular version of the VST-40-MHI. This unit was created through the use of stronger, lighter materials and thoughtful design. With a stronger inner boom and higher strength outer boom, the VST-40-HDSI offers greater reach with up to 700 lbs on the jib and winch system. The VST-40-HDSI has larger boom cylinders, and a larger rotation bearing. On this unit, there are two sets of A-frame outriggers and a full length subframe to support the augmented material handling capability.
VST-40-HDSI Also Offers A Lightweight Advantage
One lightweight advantage of the VST-40-HDSI is that it doesn’t require a CDL to be driven, and, depending on spec, can offer as much as 5,000 lbs of payload capacity. Available on a 22,500 GVWR package, this unit is commonly mounted on a brand new International CV515 chassis with a BrandFX fiberglass truck body. Other chassis and body choices are available.
