Bucket trucks that are engineered to reach to 45-65 vertical feet are often seen as the multi-tools of a utility fleet. Built for medium- to heavy-duty, this range of heights includes some of the taller Versalift SST models, several overcenter and non-overcenter aerials, and many of our very popular VST models. At this range of heights, bucket trucks are extremely versatile. They can be equipped for specific task sets, like tree work or electrical work, or they can be equipped for more general tasks, such as those needed for a University campus or gated community’s physical plant. At this range of heights, the most options are available to our customers.

Bucket trucks that have a vertical reach reach of 65 feet are able to safely put technicians in position to service almost any electrical distribution line. Versalift equipment that is purposed for electric utility work includes TruGuard™2.0, the most advanced bucket truck insulation system on the market. Additionally, depending on the type of lift, these mid-height range bucket trucks can be equipped with jib and winch, which allows for material handling. Material handling for this range of working heights typically has a capacity of 1,000-2,000 lbs.
