Position Overview
Versalift Midwest is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Service Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a Mobile Service Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our aerial lift equipment. This position involves hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and providing excellent customer service in the field.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on Versalift equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
- Field Service Calls:
- Respond to service calls from clients in the designated service area.
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement effective solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Generate service reports and documentation for each job.
- Communicate effectively with the service manager and other team members regarding work status and customer interactions.
- Customer Interaction:
- Interact professionally with customers to understand their concerns and address inquiries.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring satisfaction with completed repairs and maintenance.
- Training and Development:
- Stay current with industry trends, product updates, and technological advancements.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mobile Service Mechanic or similar role, preferably in the aerial lift equipment industry.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Versalift equipment or similar aerial lift products is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
- Willingness to travel within the designated service area.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
