Position Overview
BrandFX is seeking a skilled Fiberglass Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Fiberglass Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of our cutting-edge fiberglass products. You will be responsible for fabricating and assembling fiberglass components, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality, durability, and precision.
Responsibilities
- Fiberglass Fabrication:
- Utilize knowledge of fiberglass materials to fabricate components according to engineering specifications.
- Lay up fiberglass materials, resin, and other components to create composite structures.
- Operate hand and power tools for cutting, trimming, and shaping fiberglass materials.
- Mold Preparation:
- Prepare molds for fiberglass lay-up, ensuring they are clean, coated, and ready for production.
- Apply release agents to molds to facilitate easy removal of finished fiberglass components.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct quality inspections on finished fiberglass products to ensure they meet BrandFX’s quality standards.
- Identify and address any defects or imperfections in the finished products.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the production team, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and product consistency.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Fiberglass Technician or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with composite materials, particularly fiberglass, and their application in manufacturing processes.
- Skills:
- Proficient in using hand and power tools for fiberglass fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
- Team Player:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in fiberglass technology or related field are a plus.
