China’s Electric Power Industry Expects Continued Growth, Improvement And Success

China State Grid Holds 2023 Distribution Network Non-stop Operation Skills Competition
On April 17-21, 2023, the Equipment Department of the State Grid Corporation conducted the State Grid Corporation of China 2023 Distribution Network Non-stop Operation Skills Competition. This is a large-scale, nationwide competition within the State Grid system, and it is only held once every four years. This year’s event was held at State Grid Technical School Shandong Taishan School District. The State Grid senior management and all network provincial companies regard the competition as very highly valued. All of the network’s provincial companies commit themselves to actively preparing for this competition.
XJTime Aerial lifts Were Used by Skills Competition Winners

422 individual participants from 27 units of the national State Grid power system participated in the competition.

The top group prize, and the first and second individual crew prizes were all awarded to teams using XJTime Aerial lifts.

XJTime had 14 units of VST-6000-MHI aerial lifts on location at the Technical school for the competition.
As China’s electric utility fleets continue to focus on operator safety and work efficiency, Vocational Skills Competitions and Live Line Work Demonstrations allow Chinese linemen to learn and showcase new best practices. Some of the goals of this operational skills event are the improvement of technical skill levels, and continued work toward the transformation of the distribution network, including construction and ongoing maintenance.
