Aspen Aerials and Versalift International are working together to deliver Europe-compliant bridge inspection equipment. A demonstration unit was exported to Denmark earlier in the year, and has resulted in a sale. The Construction Index, a construction industry periodical based in the UK, recently reported the order of a Europe-compliant Aspen A-62 bridge inspection truck, by Facelift, a distributor and equipment hire company that was recently acquired by AFI-UPFIT. The European Aspen A-62 will be added to Facelift’s rental inventory as early as mid-autumn of 2021.
Time Manufacturing Company continues to expand its distribution network and product offerings across Europe. The company goes to market under the Versalift, BrandFX and Aspen Aerials brands, and recently announced its acquisition of Ruthmann, a Germany-based manufacturer of premium aerial work platforms. Ruthmann is an excellent fit and has a global clientele for its Ruthmann, Steiger, Ecoline and BlueLift brands.
Aspen Aerials – Bridge Inspection Truck Benefits
Aspen Aerials offers bridge maintenance crews and inspection engineers with unmatched access, even on large bridges with broad sidewalks and high fence clearance. With more than five meters of sidewalk overreach, and greater than 4.5 meters of fence clearance, the European Aspen A-62-T presents limited inconvenience to vehicle and pedestrian traffic, while making access challenges look easy.
Bridge Inspection Equipment – Aspen A-62 Features
Aspen Aerials is widely considered to be the industry-leading bridge inspection equipment brand in the United States. The A-62 is one of it’s most popular bridge inspection trucks. Recently, Aspen Aerials won the CE marking for a European Aspen A-62, which will be exported mounted on a Volvo FM 420 8×4 sleeper cab. Aspen A-62 bridge inspection units are highly versatile, and come with an interchangeable inspection basket and work platform. This versatility allows one bridge inspection unit to support and maintain the quality and safety of bridges. Aspen A-62 bridge inspection trucks have horizontal under-bridge reach of 18.8 metres, a vertical downward reach of 20.6 metres and a basket capacity of 272 kg. Additionally, this A-62 unit has a three-stage gantry walkway with 680 kg capacity, which is enough for five people. Two rotating counterweighted turntables enable the Aspen A-62 to maintain stability without outriggers, while multiple articulating and telescoping booms provide unmatched access for technicians and engineers to access the hardest-to-reach workspaces.
Time Manufacturing Company acquired Aspen Aerials in 2018 and since has established European upfit, sales, and service locations, utilizing its 300,000 ft2 Versalift Export facility in FarsØ, Denmark. The European team, which is headquartered in Denmark, sells and services Versalift Aerial Devices for Europe and for export to the rest of the world. Versalift distributors across Europe provide public and private fleets with equipment sales, service, training, unscheduled maintenance, inspections, financing and warranty.
